If you've found us here, you probably already know that Windsor Hills is one of the most popular off-site resorts and said to be the closest privately-owned resort to Walt Disney World. In fact, we're just two miles from the main gate--minutes from the fun! Go to the parks in the morning, head home to nap and swim, back to the parks in the evening for dinner, fireworks, and shows. The price of an Uber is generally the same price as parking for the day. We're THAT close.

Location, location, location. Chateau Minnie is located in the closest building to the pool and Windsor Hills is located just 2 miles from Disney!
Windsor Hills is a friendly gated community, just 2 miles from the Walt Disney World gate, putting us closer to the parks than many of the Disney Hotels on property. There are many restaurants within a short drive and Walmart is just down the road--on the way from the airport.

While you'll probably prefer a rental car, it's easy to taxi, Uber , or Lyft from Windsor Hills to Walt Disney World. It's often as economical as driving (parking at the parks is $25/day) and can save substantially on walking and time at the end of a long day.

Disney World is just the start of your fun in central Florida! Our home is a perfect base for exploring the area.

#1: Proximity to Walt Disney World. Windsor Hills is a gated community, just 2 miles from the main gate, which puts Chateau Mickey closer to some of the parks than many Disney hotels! All homes are privately owned, giving the resort a personal, "family" feel vs a generic, corporate environment.

#2: Double Olympic-size, zero-entry Swimming Pool. When we say our pool is big, we mean it's BIG. You'll appreciate coming back at the end of the day to the relaxing, friendly vibe poolside. And don't forget a soak in the hot tub--a perfect way to end a day at the parks.

#3: WATERPARK. My kids will say this really should be #1. Fair warning: don't be surprised if your kids beg to come home early from the parks each day. Yes, it really is that much fun. Again, just a 5 minute walk (less if you hurry!) from the house.

#4: Clubhouse. The clubhouse is where you'll find the store, gym, movie theater (you can even request movies!) and the arcade. Our kids love the pool table, arcade games, foosball, air hockey. It's a great place for kids to make new friends.

#5: 24-Hour Manned, Gated Security for your peace of mind.

#6: Grounds. We love to walk, and walking the grounds of Windsor Hills is one of our favorite vacation activities. So much to see! It's a lovely resort. If walking isn't enough exercise, we have the gym, tennis courts, pickleball court, kids' playgrounds, volleyball area, 9-hole mini-golf course and, of course, the gorgeous pool and waterpark area.

#7: Convenience. Vacationing here is so EASY. There's a Walmart on the way from the airport--just a quick drive from the house. We always make a quick stop, grab the essentials, and make a beeline for home. Some guests submit their order online and pick it up or have it delivered direct to Chateau Mickey. Once at Windsor Hills, an on-site convenience store will provide anything you may have forgotten. Don't want to cook? Summon Uber Eats or Grub Hub and

 Chateau Minnie was so lovely, just what we needed. Easy access, everything was clean, close to Disney. Kids loved the Minnie bedroom and the little bits of theming throughout. Master bedroom was huge with a closet big enough for all our cases, clothes etc etc. We only went to the pool once but that was very clean and big enough to play with a ball/inflatables. The communication from the owners was always very quick and they gave us some good recommendations. Would definitely stay again!!

 I'd give 10 stars if I could. I'm a planner and like to know EVERYTHING before I arrive. Not only did Suzy respond promptly, but she went above and beyond in answering every question I had and some I hadn't thought of. Going to Disney requires a lot of planning and research but staying at Chateau Minnie was EASY. No stress about any of it and we were so impressed with the condo! It was perfect for our family and we're already planning our next trip.
