It's useful for keeping leafs and other vegetation out of the pool as well as preventing those most unwanted of holiday companions, the alligator, taking up residence in your rental pool. The main benefit is in protecting you and your party from the various harmless but irritating bugs most prevalent during the verdant summer months.
